Dentsu, Japan nets team for 'net TV

Tokyo, japan -- Dentsu, Japan's greatest ad shop, and also the five major systems are joining up to produce a brand new countrywide Internet TV service next spring. Audiences whose TV monitors have a web connection will have the ability to see both regular TV sked and older related shows, in addition to check about approaching shows. PPV programming is going to be readily available for relatively low costs, though exact prices haven't yet been introduced. Participants include Fuji TV, Nippon Television, TV Asahi, Tokyo, japan Broadcasting System and TV Tokyo, japan. Discussions will also be apparently going ahead with pubcaster NHK. Also, major electronics makers intend to launch new Internet Televisions, as well as devoted remote controls, next spring over time for that service's bow. The goal would be to lure back audiences who're watching more video content on the Computers, less on the Televisions, with popular programming they can't easily get elsewhere.
