Lubezki nabs top prize at ASC Honours
Inside a continuation of his honours dominance in feature cinematography this season, Emmanuel Lubezki, the d.p. behind "The Tree of Existence," nabbed the very best prize in the 26th annual American Society of Cinematographers' kudofest on Sunday evening in the Hollywood and Highland Grand Ballroom.Lubezki's photography around the Terrence Malick film has nearly taken the experts organizations' d.p. laurels to date, such as the large three: The La Film Experts Assn., the NY Film Experts Circle and also the National Society of Film Experts.Because the ASC inaugurated its honours ceremony in 1986, the invitation-only org's those who win and individuals from the Academy have overlapped 10 occasions, including four from the last six years.
